a night of soul.

my love and i went to the collective soul concert this last week. i've always been a big fan but i am even more obsessed than before. if anyone has the chance to see them do not pass it up. they are incredible and also nice to look at. i'm ed and dean roland's new number one fan. 

to my mama.

i may be a little late but still wanted to make sure i wrote a few things about my amazing mother. we had a wonderful mothers day spent outside in the warmth. i sure am grateful to the mom's i have in my life. this includes my sister who follows in the footsteps of my own mama and is just beyond incredible. i have such good examples in my life of the kind of mother i want to be someday. here are a few fun facts about my mom.

she hates to cook but is actually pretty good at it.

she can do flips off the diving board.

she has competed in many triathlons.

you will never see more perfect feet than hers.

she loves kid rock and anderson cooper

not a day goes by that we don't talk on the phone.

she is hilarious.

she adores her husband, and he adores her right back.

she has a body most 30 year olds would kill for.

her children, grandbabies, and husband are her everything.

she's always grateful.

she has killer style. i steal many of her clothing items. no, she doesn't like it.

when i was in high school i had friends sing "sierra's mom has got it goin on" , and she does.


the list could go on and on about how beautiful, loving, smart, and amazing my mom is. words can't say how much i love her and how grateful i am everyday that she's my mom forever. i love you mama dear!

i am most happy to report that this semester of school is over. needless to say i barely survived this one. the combination of biology that i don't understand mixed with a four hour film class plus a couple others was a little too much for me. let me just say there was a brief stretch when i was sure to fail this said biology class. seeing as this is a nursing pre req for me and i am on a time schedule it wasn't in my plans to fail. i managed to get outta there with a b-. that's right people a b-. this did take a little convincing and possibly slight begging to my teacher. i don't normally beg for things but when it comes to science i have no shame. so my stress took a great drop for which i am grateful for, as is pretty much anyone who comes in contact with me. these are some pics pre finals week with an exception for the last two. that smile of mine is the moment i finished biology. i just couldn't stop the smiles for a solid hour after i left class.

my lover face turned 30  a couple weeks ago. we celebrated his birth in st. george with his family. it was a great getaway filled with lots of food, lounging, and naps. i got my blakers a pair of ray bans on his big day. this dude has never owned anything more than gas station sunglasses that were more often than not broke right down the center. you'd think he'd spring for another pair at that point but he just put a little black tape on the wound and called it good. that was how i first met him, with taped up sunglasses on that gorgeous mug of his. happy birthday blakely boy, i love you.

i was also in attendance for ragnar socal. it was a great race that i got to do with my sister and friend amy. i love/hate ragnar's and will most likely continue to do them forever. we had a rad time running with a great group of people. not to mention we did get to see a beautiful heidi herway and her very good looking fam at the finish line. adios april. you won't really be missed.

an easter weekend.

easter weekend sure was nice wasn't it? actually i spent most of it studying for a biology test that i was certain i wouldn't pass. let me tell you that after a full easter sunday of studies i blew that test out of the water. and by that of course i mean i got a B. kicking my D average up a notch hopefully enough to pass the class. science just isn't my thing.

so since i was full of the studies we spent our time on friday and saturday celebrating. we dyed a few dozen eggs with my family, lunched it on saturday and ended with dinner at the stillman's joint. it was a nice way to celebrate with family, marshmallow peeps, and jelly beans.

i went to dinner with this lovely lady last night. it was my first time seeing her perfect baby brooks. of course i was instantly crazy about him. how can you not be? lindsey- i love you and have missed you so much. let's not wait another six months until we see each other again. you sure do make one cute mama.
