my last two weekends were spent in the lovely jackson hole. part one was with friends; river rafting, yellowstone, and camping. it was my first time to river raft and i have to say it was pretty rad. we had lots of fun playing all weekend.

part two of jackson hole was spent with my family to watch lotoja. chris and my dad did incredible. i'm so proud of them both for all the work they did. supporting them along the way was a blast. way to go boys! i love you both.

yesterday my sister turned 27 years old. i miss the days of us having our birthday parties at raging waters when we were little girls. this year we did cake with the family. anytime spent with my sister and her babies is a good time. i thought i'd list some things about my sister in honor of her birth 27 years ago...

1. she's funny. like way way funny. we could have our own show of movie quotes.

2. she has an amazing singing voice. she keeps this a secret.

3. she knows every word to the songs on beauty and the beast.

yes this past weekend i turned 24 years old. for some reason i wasn't so excited about my birthday this year. each year gets less exciting. i was actually hoping to skip over the whole thing and celebrate the countries birthday instead of mine. turns out, i had the best birthday that i've had. i was overwhelmed by how many people remembered and sent me lovely texts and phone calls. thank you to all of you sweet people in my life. starting out the birthday with church was better than expected, then coming home to notes all over the house from my cute roomie emma, next off to the parents for delicious food and even better company. my family that i never get to see also came to celebrate with us. this weekend was perfection and i have my beautiful family and friends to thank. i love you.

on may 24th my sweet dad turned 64 years old. we celebrated with the whole family including my best friends. i have to say how grateful i am to have such a wonderful father. he has been everything that i could dream of in a dad. i thank my Father in Heaven every day that my mom married him. he's not only a perfect father, but is quite the husband who suits my mom perfectly. they are the perfect example of a truly happy marriage. thank you dad for all that you have done for me in my life. i love you so much forever.

yes that's right. my sister is a master at triathlons. she did an olympic distance tri this past weekend, mad skills i will tell you what. and she has another one scheduled for next month. i will be cheerleading at all of them. way to go sister! you sure can swim, bike, and run like a champ. the other parts of the weekend consisted of playing with her sweet baby girls, me trying to get tan, and hanging out with the family. this was a good weekend.

mother's day this year was spent at st. george to hang out as a family and watch the ironman. the weather was a perfect 90 degrees which changed my skin color from a bright ivory to a crimson red. saying no to sunscreen may have been a bad idea. i'm hoping the red fades off into a brown similar to my other dark skinned family members. more likely i'll just peel off and return to my vampire color again. this weekend was a wonderful gettaway spent with my very favorite people. the ironman was something amazing to see, those atheletes are really something else. it's inspired me to start doing triathlons instead of just running. maybe someday i'll work up to a half ironman. the other great part of the weekend was celebrating my mother. i don't have the right words to express my love for her. she has been everything a girl could want in a mom. she is my support, she is an example of the mother i yearn to be in the future. i'm grateful every day that i get to keep her for eternity. i love you mom. my sister does also deserve some wonderful praise for the mother she is. also an example for what i would like to become. but she has learned from the best after all. anyone who knows me knows how much i crave to be a mother myself. it's something i dream of every day and pray about every night. it will happen when the time is right, and when it does i hope to have a little piece of my mom and sister. happy mothers day to you both. no one deserves it more than you.

while i'm waiting on pictures from my boy and my mom from the marathon, i thought i'd share some easter pics. we had a lovely little easter sunday. it's not quite as good without my sister, her hubs, and the baby girls around. still we had a delicous dinner with the parents and emma, followed by egg dying. i love spring time because then it's almost summer and that's what i love the most. not to mention that my last finals for school are on monday. i feel so blessed.

this past saturday was the salt lake marathon. my sis, annie, and emma all ran the half in fantastic times. i did the full for my second time. i will have pictures to come shortly. i must say this was my hardest run i've had. i was that idiot who was sobbing the last six miles. why was i sobbing you ask? mostly from pain, but also from thinking i was for sure going to quit and have to hop on the back of that EMT guys bike. or maybe because the guy with one leg, or the kid on crutches weren't even crying. not to mention the many old men with joints of steel passing me. yes i sucked it up enough to finish the race in 3 hours 54 minutes. and after swearing to myself in my head that i would never do this damn distance again....i'm sure i will. something about it is addictive. that horrible pain in your legs and the blisters and the toe nails falling off. all part of the fun. the best part was having my incredible family cheering me on at the end wondering why on earth my face looked so distorted from crying. even my sweet bf came to support me even though he's still revcovering from having his tonsils out. i'm so proud of my sis and cute roomies! it was great to train with people that i love so much. and we have more races to come that we'll be doing together this year. stay tuned for pictures of me whining, and the others looking fresh through the finish line.

last weekend was our annual girls trip to vegas. we stayed in the cosmopolitan this time, a first for all of us excluding my mom. we had an amazing weekend full of shopping and eating. sweet kennedy and piper did so good this trip. it definitely get's exhausting with two little ones. they are natural born shoppers though, you are made to be in this family.

the month of february has so many great things in it. not only lovers day, but also my sweet kennedy and my mom's birthdays. kennedy celebrated her third birthday at jungle jims. i hardly got any pictures of the birthday girl since she was running around and was in no mood for pics. kennedy loves phineas and ferb so that was the theme for her party. my mom turned 48 this year. which in fact you would never guess since she looks so incredible. it was a fabulous week. i'm so grateful these two were born.

i love these baby girls. i take so many pictures of them that i have to share because they are so beautiful. sweet little kennedy turns 3 next week, and pipes is now 6 months old. the time goes by much too fast with these little ones. i love that kennedy tells me i'm her best friend and sends me texts and phone calls. i love that piper is always happy and smiling. props to their amazing parents. you won't find two girls as lovely as these two.

my friend emma does not like to hold babies generally. but she couldn't resist miss pipes. i'm really proud of her for this. it's a pretty big deal for her.

kennedy took piper on a ride in her baby doll stroller. she's a little big for it, but she didn't mind her legs hanging out.

a friday night with my best friends is one of my favorite things of all time. even if the food from the blue iguana left me sick in bed the entire day on saturday. we may or may not have gone back to mine and annie's house and watched texas chainsaw massacre.

sweet kennedy tried skiing for the first time. my mom bought her some baby skiis so she could take her up and get her started early. well, kennedy hated it. hopefully with time she will get more used to it. her snow outfit was the best, and if they made them in adult sizes you can bet that i would have one.

Thanksgiving was spent at Snowbird this year. The whole fam (minus Syd, Griff, and their babes) were togther. My great friend and roomie Emma also joined. We stayed Wednesday night and ate a great meal on Thursday. Despite the freezing tempurature, it was a fantastic Thanksgiving. I'm so grateful for all of my family. I love them and couldn't ever ask for more.

Sweet Piper Lane got blessed by her dad this past Sunday. Chris gave her such a beautiful blessing. It was so wonderful to have all of the family there to celebrate this special day. Halloween was lots of fun this year. Annie and I dressed up as Lady Gaga and Beyonce. We went to a big Halloween party hoping they would play "Telephone" but they never did. Still we came up with a few moves while we were at home and did our own duet. I think our costumes turned out pretty good too. I don't have the best memories of Halloween so I was so happy to spend it with my best friend!

This may be the longest post I have yet done (picture overload). This past weekend was the Las Vegas Ragnar. It was so hard and so much fun! We had a really great, fast team this year. My car of 6 consisted of 2 gays, a straight, and 3 girls! I must say it was a diverse car, still we all got so close in those hours together. I loved my team so much. Running on a couple hours of sleep in the wee hours of the morning has never been so fun. We may have found our team for many future Ragnar's. After the race we treated ourselves to a night in Vegas. Amazing dinner, a full night's sleep, shower, and so much shopping! Thanks to my amazing family who came and supported all of us!

On September 11 my awesome brother in law did the 206 mile bike race Lotoja. It was my first time to Jackson, and it was so gorgeous. My sis and the two babes drove to see Chris race. Sam and Jodie came too. Chris and his team did absolutely incredible. I didn't get very good pictures of him racing at all, except for the one good butt shot that I put on here for Jade. We had the best weekend together. Chris even booked us a room at a ranch! Now I've never stayed at a ranch but it was like a classy log cabin. Nice job brother, you totally impressed me that weekend! I love you guys.

A few weekends ago my best friends and I all decided to take a little overnight camping trip. We went to Payson Lake and pitched a tent. She's finally here! On August 4th Jade gave birth to Piper Lane Pew. She weighed in at a tiny 6 pounds 15 ounces. She is just as beautiful as we all knew she would be. I took so many pictures, unfortunately they are all from my phone so not the best quality. It's so amazing to have this new little one in our lives now. I'm so blessed to have the most gorgeous, sweet nieces I could ever imagine. Jade and Chris are such great parents, and Kennedy is so excited about being a big sister. I love my family so much! Probably my most favorite time of year is around the 4th of July. Not just because my birthday is on the 3rd, or it's perfect weather. I love that I can always vacation with my family over the 4th. I got to spend the weekend in St. George with my family and best friend. It couldn't have been a more perfect weekend. Most of it was spent on the boat watching everyone ski and wakeboard. It was an amazing birthday and I'm so grateful for all the people I got to spend it with.

I have the most incredible dad. Father's Day weekend was perfect. We swam Saturday and went out to my sister Kim's on Sunday with the entire family. I feel so blessed every day that I have Neil as my father. He has always been there for me through everything in my life. Words can't express how much I love him. I finally got my camera back from my friend Chad's car. It took him a month to return it. These are pics of my most amazing friends. Annie and I do regular date nights together and this week was sushi. Our favorite new place is Simply Sushi, of course since it is all you can eat. We can definitely eat. I think we each ate 3 or 4 rolls. Delish!

This morning my mom, aunt, and cousin did the American Fork women's triathalon. It was so cold that they ended up canceling the swim and ran twice instead. My entire family does some type of racing whether it's tri's, biking, or running so we really enjoy being eachothers cheerleaders. My mom looked amazing the entire time, I pray I look as good as my mom when I get older. She is so beautiful and fit. My Aunt Eileen and cousin Mindy also did a great job! I love my family so much and am so grateful for each one of them. Incredible job Mom! You are so inspiring to me!

So I'm finally getting around to posting pictures of my marathon. It was my first one and after so much training and injury I'm so happy to have a little break. I really loved it and definitely want to do more in the future, just not for a while! Annie ran the half for her first time and did AMAZING! It was so fun to do this with my best friend. Annie finished the half in 2:17, and I finished the full in 3:51. Not to forget that Jade, Chris, and Kennedy ran the 5K. A Whoo hoo! I'm so grateful my amazing family was there to cheer me on at the finish line. I can't imagine finishing without them. Kennedy also made me this sign the night before the race! I have the best family!

So tomorrow is race day. Wow it came quickly! Annie and I have not had a free Saturday in months and are ready to have a break from all these miles. After many injuries to us both like shin splints, stress fractures, knee problems, cortisone shots, and aching bodies. It is time to hang up the shoes for at least a few weeks! Tomorrow at this time I will be close to finishing....can't wait!!!

Kennedy turned two years old on Feb 8! It's so crazy how fast time passes! This year Kennedy had a barbie themed party, she loved it and loved to say "Bobby Potty" for 'Barbie Party'! We had so much fun with all the family and friends. I love you Kennedy! I'm so grateful to be your aunt!

This Thanksgiving my dad took all the boys in the family to Denver to see a Broncos game. So it was just us four girls to celebrate together. Instead of cooking, we decided to go to the Grand America for our Thanksgiving. We had so much fun with just us girls and the food was sooo good. They had the most beautiful buffet with everything you can imagine. Too bad all of us except Kennedy are allergic to gluten so we couldn't try everything. We also had a sleepover at my mom's and watched Christmas movies all night. Thanksgiving was amazing! I'm so grateful for my family and all my blessings. I feel so lucky everyday for all I have been given.

This is the world's WORST movie EVER!!! Don't see it, seriously it's a waste of money and time. Someone would have to pay me serious money to get me to sit through that horrible thing again. I went with 20 people and every single person hated it! None of it makes sense and the ending completely sucks. Take my advice and go see the MJ movie instead!

This weekend was so fun! A bunch of us got all dressed up and went to the Hallofunkoween party downtown where we danced the entire night. Everyone had great costumes too. It was such a BLAST!!

Girls Trip to Vegas!!

Last weekend our family did a little girls trip to Vegas! The boys went to St. George for a boating trip and us girls definitely got the better vaca. We stayed at the beautiful Palazzo and had the most amazing time. We shopped like crazy and ate the most delicious food. All my favorite girls for a shopping weekend is my dream vacation, especially with my two favorite babies in the world! Thanks Mom for all you did for us over the weekend. I have the most incredible family. Our girls trip will definitely become an annual tradition!

My mom tried these $600.00 boots on her gorgeous legs because we all thought they were so ugly! They still look amazing on her!

Disneyland 1/2 Marathon!!

Last week Jade, Chris, & I ran the Disneyland 1/2 marathon. It was such a fun race, and the entire family was there cheering us on! All of us finished in a great time too. We also did the whole Disneyland thing with Kennedy. Mickey Mouse is her favorite thing ever so she loved it. It was a wonderful weekend!

One of my BEST friends Ali had her beautiful baby girl on Sunday August 30. She weighed in at 7 pounds 6 ounces and she is gorgeous! I seriously have never seen such a perfect newborn baby, and her dark thick hair is amazing! Congratulations Ali (& Nick of course!)!! I love you more than I can even describe. You are going to get sick of me from all the visits I will be paying you!!

A couple weeks ago my family went down to St. George to go boating and relax in the sun! We had so much fun together, especially with sweet, funny Kennedy. (her new favorite words are... "no whining" and Obama) Although she is getting so smart she can say ANYTHING now!

Last weekend Annie and I took two of our friends Randy & Tyler to see The Fray!! Oh it was so amazing!! I LOVE THE FRAY!!! Plus Jack's Mannequin opened and I am their new biggest fan. Concerts are the best!

Dustee and I have birthday's two days apart so this year we did a joint party! We had lots of friends and family over for swimming and a BBQ. I'm so glad I got to share my birthday with such a great friend and roommate! I love you so much Dust!! And thanks everyone who came, we had such a blast!

Newport Baby!!

Warning that this is a very long post!..... My wonderful family just got home from the best trip ever to Newport. We seriously had the best time with the warm weather and relaxing on the beach the entire time! Not to mention the sweet babies we had with us all week. My parents rented us a beach house for the week and I must say it's the best vaca I have had so far! Thanks Mom and Dad for the amazing trip, I love you both so much!!

Before I post pictures from my Newport trip I wanted to pay a little tribute to MJ! I love him and every song he ever made. I think people say a lot of terrible things about him when really what they need to realize is, without him we wouldn't have half the artists we have today. I mean yes he is a little nutty but honestly I don't know anyone who isn't a fan! I love you Michael Jackson...even if you did turn into a scary white man.

St. George

My family went to St. George over Memorial weekend. We had so much fun together just relaxing and playing with Kennedy. We also celebrated my dad's 62nd birthday, which is insane because he looks absolutely amazing. No one would believe he is a great-great grandpa!! I also wanted to take the time to say how grateful I am for my family and how much I love them. Jade went on a hike over the weekend and let's just say we are grateful she is still alive. It was a traumatizing experience for everyone. I'm so grateful for the Lord's hand in my family's life. I could never live without them. I really am so blessed!

I have been thinking lately how big my favorite little girl Kennedy is getting. These are all old pictures of her from when she was so much fatter. She is getting thinner and smarter and less of a baby everyday. It's a little sad. She is such a little girl now, saying things and running around everywhere. I love her so much!

Salt Lake 1/2 Marathon

Last Saturday my mom and I ran in the Salt Lake 1/2 marathon. Jade, Chris, Neil, and Kennedy did the 5K! It's a little bittersweet that it's over, even though all the training isn't always so fun, race day is the best! Luckily I have lots more to do this year. My mom did great finishing at 1:59. This year I surprised myself with my best time of 1:43. My goal is a full marathon in November, although 26.2 is sounding a lot further than I thought!

Lunatic Fashion Show!!

Last night Lunatic Fringe put on a fashion/hair show. Dustee and I worked on models together for the show. Including my gorgeous sister Jade! The show ended up being really great after a lot of preparation.
